From the borders of Rajasthan, Dhoad brings us an intoxicating and subtle music that will draw from the roots of the gypsy world. The troupe invites us to a spectacular, festive and dancing trip, full of colors with its dancers and musicians in traditional costumes, and its fire-eater.
Their land is marked by a strong spirituality and their music expresses this profound alliance of art and religion. It has been enriched by the incessant wanderings of this troupe of virtuoso entertainers.
They brought back groove accents from their travels that blend harmoniously with the sounds of traditional instruments to offer the public a colourful show.
The charismatic leader of the formation is Rahis Bharti. Educated from an early age to the demands of music and animated by an extraordinary energy, he became a world-renowned musician. Dhoad’s artists have given concerts in more than 40 countries, performed at the largest international festivals and shared the stage with big names of the world’s music (Esma Redzapova, Diego Caresco, Romano Drom, Orchestra di Piazza Vittori, Sassa…). Genuine ambassadors of Rajasthan culture throughout the world, Dhoad artists, heirs of a poetic orality, propose us a spectacle with a bewitching rhythm where colors, rhythms and change of scenery await.
